Worth1000 (collection of online arenas where the worlds best artists compete daily in creative competitions) has been conducting a series of ‘Advanced Photo Effects’ contests titled ‘Impossible Celebrity Couples (Creating impossible tabloid pairings)’ over the past few years. It’s quite interesting to conceptualize what it’d have been like if specific celebrities of one era were paired up with celebrities from another era whether on/off screen. Cool! Isn’t it? Having grown up in the late 80’s and 90’s, it’s fun to think back at all the classic/iconic games I used to play/enjoy. Honestly, who could forget nostalgic console games like Mario, Contra, Duck Hunt, Pac-Man, Bomberman, Tetris, Tank, Mortal Combat and so on? Have you ever imagined to check out a video game character in one game and put it in a environment in another game? Isn’t it always fascinating to play out those “What If…?” scenarios and see it in action. Today, we are going to watch these game characters in the battlefield, fighting each other.

Ever since the primary eruption in Eyjafjallajökull, the world has become a horrified audience to Iceland’s state of well-being. In order to get the word out that Iceland is literally embracing travelers with open arms, the Icelandic government created an innovative “Inspired by Iceland” campaign few days ago to help kick-start summer tourism. Iceland is more alive than ever, bursting with energy, activity and hospitality. UK based designer/illustrator Mico Toledo who loves music and typography very much ended up with this kiss-ass, creative/innovative project named “Music Philosophy” where he features some of the mind-blowing memorable music legend’s album lyrics quotes (typographically designed) for us to enjoy. I am pleased to share some of his best works (so far) with you.

After six years, 121 episodes, the TV series “Lost” has finally came to an end. The series finale aired on May 23, 2010. Jimmy Kimmel started his episode “Aloha to Lost” with what may be some strikingly unconventional “three alternative/makeshift endings” for lost series (courtesy of: creators Damon Lindelof & Carlton Cuseby, of course!).
