    Interesting post!

A sound mind is something all of us need! And you have beautifully laid down all that you need for having a sound body within a sound and health body.

I guess when they say that ‘it’s all in the mind’, they are not wrong! Our mind is the center controlling power of everything that we do- the supreme authority, thus our feelings, emotions, behavior, negative or positive ways we may react etc- everything depends on it.

    Thanks for sharing :)

First become aware of them, then work toward making that “U-Turn” when negativity comes into the picture. Thanks so much for these wonderful reminders. :)

First time to your blog. Amazing Post! I am a cancer survivor. Beating cancer involved making some serious lifestyle changes.

First, I changed my attitude and mindset. Fear entered my mind 100′s of times. When that happens, I stop, relax, slow my breathing, and start thinking about all the blessings in my life, about all the thing that I am grateful for. It’s been 2 years since my last treatments. I naturally am much more positive and grateful person. The fear rarely comes now.

Second, I started working out 5 days each week. It feels amazing starting the day off by really getting your blood and oxygen flowing. Some days, it happens after work. I always feel amazing after a good hard sweat. It too with time has become a habit that I love and enjoy. My work outs have positively influenced all other aspects of my life. Yoga, wow. I thought it was crazy – actually, its brilliant. Once a week will do wonders.

Third, I nourish my body so that I could heal, so that I could have a sound mind and spirit. I quit drinking. I quit taking my adderral and xanax. I started cooking more at home. Fresh fruits, vegies, and all things that are intuitively good for me.

Fourth, Meditation and Prayer daily. I started taking time everyday doing deep breathing exercises and mediation. Part of my meditation is spent focusing on nothing. I clear my mind. It is the time that I listen and wait for answers or direction from the creative, the universe, our maker. The other part of my mediation is spent focusing on what I will achieve or desire to accomplish. I envision a long healthy life, growing old with my family, success in my career, etc.

All things are possible with a sound mind. Overcome challenges, poor habits, depression & sorrow, beat cancer and change your life forever.

Sorry for the long comment but this post hit home for me. I wrote a recent post called “Mental Chemistry” that your readers may enjoy http://www.milkmen.com/blog/mental-chemistry/

Wow, you’re living the life as it should be, without curbing down, Cody. Really inspiring move and some incredibly practical tips too. One can see that both mind and body are manifestations of life: they are parts of the whole of life. And we start to realize their shared connection in that whole. The life of a person depends on developing / sustaining a sound mind, and it would not be adequate for him/her to workout body alone. Thank you so much & just continue to be strong as you’re now. All the best.
