So you think Twitter is a waste of time? Well, you need to think again.

If used wisely, correctly, twitter can be a treasure chest of information. I’ve come across people who think “What should I do on twitter?” Or something like “Isn’t twitter just about chatting?” Twitter isn’t just a 140 character limit micro blogging service, in fact it has grown into a huge network with great info coming out every single second. Twitter can be fun and interesting too. So, the TOP 10 list below will help throw some light on the fun and amazing things you can do on twitter!
1. Analyze Your Twitter Awesomeness:
There are tons of tools to measure how well you’re doing on Twitter in terms of influence, engagement, impact, trends and more. A few of them are…
A) Klout – Measure your social media influence and reputation across the web, specifically on Twitter.
B) TweetEffect – Find out which of your Twitter updates made people follow or leave you.
C) TweetStats – Graph your Twitter stats including Tweets per hour / per day / per month, Tweet timeline, Tweet density, Reply (@ mentions), Who you retweet most, Tweet cloud etc. Amusingly, you can find how many twooshes (full 140 characters tweet) you got too!
D) Retweet Rank – Find your (or any other Twitter user’s) Retweet (RT) rank which is a representative of the number of times you have been retweeted by others recently on twitter.

TweetPsych – TweetPsych lists creates a psychological profile of any public Twitter account and compares it to the thousands already in the database. This identifies those traits that are used more or less frequently by the user analyzed.

Twitter is a great platform for job seekers. Here are a couple of them which can help you land a job through twitter! How cool is that?!
A) TwitJobSeach – Developed by UK-based job search engine Workhound, TwitJobSearch pulls up Tweets that are only job-related and links to the underlying job posting. As I am writing this, there are 560,000+ new jobs in the last 30 days and 400 new jobs in the last 1 hour listed through TwitJobSearch.
B) TweetMyJobs – Founded in 2009, TweetMyJOBS has quickly become the largest Twitter job board in the world. It has 9,537 targeted job channels with open positions from 12,459 companies worldwide. Instant notification of a job and the ability to respond immediately to an open position could mean the difference between getting a job or not. You can post (and tweet) your resume and custom profile to thousands of recruiters and hiring managers. You can also forward jobs to friends and receive daily job updates too. As of now, there are 950,000+ job tweets in the last 30 days and 2000+ job tweets in the last 1 hour listed through TweetMyJobs.
3. Tweet more than 140 characters:

Lots of cool things but I found the video things to not only suck but it’s faster to just throw the url of a you tube into a tweet.
